Data
processing
1.
Download
When you download
the connectgrip app, certain necessary information is sent to the store you
have chosen (Google Play, App Store). This data processing is solely the
responsibility of the app store and out of our control.
2.
Connection to product and serial number
2.1.
Using the connectgrip app as a personal user
If you use the
connectgrip app as a personal user without linking to your MyOttobock
account, no personal data will be transmitted in general. However, we receive anonymised information about the use of the app, including
error information. For this purpose, technical data of your device (software
version, device settings, model, status, usage and error information) as well
as technical data of the control unit (MAC address, Bluetooth ID and article
number) may be processed.
We require this
(technical) information in order to provide the app to
you in a functional manner (error analysis to ensure the functionality of the
app and the prosthesis solution as well as data to continuously improve the
functions and user experience).
2.2.
Using the connectgrip app as a member of qualified personnel
If you use the
connectgrip app as a member of qualified personnel with a connection to the
MyOttobock account, personal data of qualified personnel are processed on the
end device and in our cloud storage: First and last name, e-mail address,
country, MyOttobock access authorisations, account number, a profile picture of
the member of qualified personnel using the app, if applicable, and model,
serial number, software version, settings, status and service information
(“product data”) of the connected products are processed and stored in the app.
3.
connectgrip and MyOttobock
We process
personal data of qualified personnel via the connectgrip app (first and last
name, e-mail address, country, MyOttobock access authorisations, MyOttobock
account number and optionally a profile picture of the member of qualified
personnel stored in the MyOttobock account). The processing of data of
qualified personnel also takes place via the MyOttobock Pro account. MyOttobock
is provided to you by Ottobock SE & Co. KGaA, Germany (“OBSE”), on the
basis of a separate contract. If you are a member of qualified personnel and
want to use the connectgrip app to connect to products and adjust their
settings, you must have a MyOttobock Pro account. Members of qualified
personnel register for the connectgrip app via their MyOttobock Pro account;
the MyOttobock Pro account is used for verification in the sense of a single
sign-on. You can create a MyOttobock Pro account using the browser application
on your mobile device that is called up by the connectgrip app. OBSE is solely
responsible for processing your data within the framework of MyOttobock and we
have no influence over this. The relevant privacy policy also applies without
restriction when using MyOttobock via the connectgrip app. For further
information on the processing of personal data in connection with the use of
MyOttobock, please refer to the privacy policy
MyOttobock Pro
(link: https://my.ottobock.com/legal?id=PN_MyOB_Pro&lng=de).
Purpose:
We offer qualified
personnel the connectgrip app for mobile devices so that they can connect to
compatible Ottobock products (prostheses or orthoses) to set these and retrieve
status information. The connectgrip app will collect data from the connected
component for the purpose of controlling the product and store them on this
mobile device. The product data are transferred to the connectgrip app via the
Bluetooth function of the mobile device, to which you must grant access. OBHCP
has no access to these locally stored data. Legal basis: usage agreement (Art.
6(1)(b) GDPR).
4.
Storage periods or criteria for determination:
As long as members
of qualified personnel are logged in to the connectgrip app, their user data
are stored in the connectgrip app (first and last name, e-mail address,
country, MyOttobock access authorisations and account number and, if
applicable, a profile picture of the member of qualified personnel). The model,
serial number, software version, settings, status and service information
(“product data”) of the connected components are processed and stored in the
connectgrip app as long as the connectgrip app is connected to these components
via Bluetooth or attempts to re-establish a recently interrupted connection.
Settings of the connectgrip app itself are saved in the connectgrip app until
the connectgrip app is deleted. In all other respects, the MyOttobock privacy
policy also applies here.
For every
adjustment process with the connectgrip app, OBHCP saves the existing or
changed settings and status information (“product data”) of the connected
components in the connectgrip app on the mobile device. Documentation
obligations of qualified personnel or their employers must be fulfilled outside
of the connectgrip app.
5.
